January 5 WELCOME BACK :) Hope your break was a good one. Today we reviewed Units 1 & 2 -Transformations, similar figures, Exponents, and Scientific notation on IXL.com. P.3-8, Q.2,4,5, F.12,14,16,19,21 and G.1,3,4. Students will be taking the Math Inventory test on Monday the 9th. Students can continue to practice on these at home as well.
January 6 Early release today. Students continued to review Units 3 & 4 - Angles, Pythagorean Thm, Volume, and Functions on IXL.com O.5,7,9,10,11, R.1-5, T.9, T.12, Z,1-2, Z.4-7. Students can continue to practice on these at home as well.

January 11 Students took the MI (Math Inventory Tests)
January 12 3rd period had Team Talks today which took the whole period. 6th period reviewed finding slope when given 2 points and finding slope from a graphed line.
January 13 PPT for Notes in class. Students finished taking the MI and then used this power point to take notes on solving for y and slope-intercept. Students then worked TenMarks.com and homework is to complete tenmarks.
January 17 P. 516 in book examples 1-3 got it? a-c Students worked on ixl.com y.7 and y.6 to practice slope-intercept form. Homework is p. 519 prob. 1-7
January 18 We went over ppt and notes and focused on rewriting equations in slope-intercept form. Homework is 6 problems written in book on p. 520.
January 19 Today we reviewed for quiz tomorrow. Students worked on a study guide to ready them for the quiz tomorrow. Homework is to complete study guide that was started in class.
January 20 Students took quiz on slope and slope-intercept
January 23 Students were given an opportunity to complete quiz from Friday and then worked on IXL.com Y.6, Y.8, Y.2
January 25 Finished the same video from yesterday where we were writing equations in slope intercept from given a point and a slope, or given 2 points. Started a worksheet in class and homework is to complete the first side (a point and slope). We will continue to work on the other side tomorrow.
January 26 We continued to write equations in slope intercept form given 2 points.
January 27 Students created a flow map to show the steps of finding the slope-intercept equations given 2 points. Students then took a Quizizz.com Y=MX+B and that grade was recorded as a grade. Students then worked on ixl.com Y.9, Y.10, Y.7 Quiz on Tuesday.
January 30 Power Point Writing Equations of Lines Y=MX + B today we are reviewing for quiz tomorrow. Students will write down 3 things they know, 3 things they found interesting and a question about what they do not know about slope and writing an equation in y=mx+b. Student will then use the given power point and work through a work sheet to ready themselves for the quiz. If they do not finish the ppt and worksheet in class, then it is to be finished as homework.
January 31 Students took quiz y=mx+b.
February 1 P. 505 examples 1-3 and Got it? problems. Homework is p. 510 problems 1-3
February 2 Went over homework problems. We used ixl.com to look at graphs and not only interpret them, but also were able to write the equation for the graph. We then practiced solving word problems by writing an equation. Homework was to finish the six problems on the worksheet that was started in class.
February 3 We went over homework and students work on IXL.com practicing writing equations to solve word problems. Z.12, Z.11. Students will take a test on unit 5 on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
February 6 Students were given guidelines for their Linear Equations Project that is due Friday 2/10. Students were also given their unit 5 study guide to review for the Unit 5 test on Wednesday and Thursday. Students worked in class on IXL.com Alg. 1-S.12 and then worked on a quizizz.com quiz. Homework is to begin the project and to work on the unit 5 study guide.
February 7 Students worked on unit 5 study guide to ready themselves for test tomorrow and Thursday. We went over the answers to the study guide in 6th period and will finish going over them in 3rd tomorrow.
February 8 Students took the unit 5 test today. After the test students began work on a Tenmarks assignment. No homework was assigned. Students will have part 2 of unit 5 test tomorrow.
February 9 Students took the unit 5 part 2 test today. After the test students worked on their project that is due tomorrow.
February 10 Students turned in their projects on writing linear equations. Students in 6th period began unit 5 recovery on USATest Prep
February 13 Students worked on unit 5 test recovery on USATestPrep assignments. Then, students worked on Tenmarks Jam Sessions- Find Slope, Laws of Exponents, adding and subtracting integers, and multiplying and dividing integers.
